Ina Garden is an American cookbook writer who has been awarded Emmy award. She hosts the oldest Food Network show, Barefoot Contessa. The show premiered in 2002. The show will run for another 27 years. Ina began her writing career by with nuclear energy policy and budgets to the White House. After initially finding the job fascinating and intellectually stimulating but she quickly became bored with it. Barefoot Contessa was then purchased. It was a huge success for 18 years before she decided to sell it. She then began the first book. Numerous magazines and cookbooks followed. Meanwhile, her Food Network television show too began its run and was a hit. The company sells numerous things, from food ingredients food preparation to kitchenware, storage and even cooking equipment. Ina has never attended any cooking academy and has never been employed in restaurants. She is self-taught. Her name is ascribed to her straightforward approach to cooking and effortless take on entertainment. Her most well-known recipes include Skillet-Roasted Lemon Chicken Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac and Cheese Beef Bourguignon Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Lemon Bars.
